We want everyone to enjoy the Club's facilities. We do maintain a dress code that upholds a standard of smart golf attire on the course and "smart casual" dress (smart jeans permitted) in designated parts of the clubhouse. To confirm specific dress regulations please contact the club.
Apart from just a handful of days a year, Royal Cape is always exposed to some sort of wind. Generally the wind will be blowing in one of two directions. The South Easter, prevalent in the summer months and the North Wester in the opposite direction often brings with it rain and moisture from the coast. Apart from the 4th and 8th holes, both par 3’s, the holes will generally be playing either into the wind or downwind.
The distance markers on the fairways and the sprinkler heads are measured to the middle of the greens. The flags are colour coded to represent the depth at which the pins are placed. White flags denote front pin placements (subtract 5 -10 metres from the distance markers), yellow flags are in the middle of the green and red flags placed towards the back (add 5-10 metres). Distances are available on most GPS and cellphone distance marking applications.
